Rubber Manufacturing Processes

Custom rubber compounds can be developed for moulding and extrusion applications using materials including EPDM, FKM, Natural Rubber, NBR and AEM. Compound selection and formulation depend on factors such as temperature, fluid exposure, mechanical requirements and manufacturing process.

Hot and cold feed extrusion technology supports the manufacture of custom rubber profiles, seals and tubing. Capabilities include fish-tail profiles, large-bore extrusions, development quantities and short production runs.

Compression, transfer and injection moulding processes are used to manufacture custom rubber components across a range of elastomers, from straightforward seals to more complex moulded parts.

Rubber joining processes support continuous profiles, large seals and bespoke assemblies where separate rubber sections require joining after manufacture.

Rubber-to-metal bonding is used to manufacture components including vibration mounts, seals and bespoke bonded assemblies where rubber and metal are required within a single component.
