Joining and assembly capabilities

Harltex provides joining and assembly capabilities for extruded profiles, seals and bespoke rubber components. With more than 40 years of manufacturing experience, joined components can be produced for automotive, marine, construction, utilities, industrial and engineering applications.

Joining processes can be used to convert rubber extrusions into continuous profiles, large seals and other finished assemblies.

Components can be manufactured to customer drawings, samples and application requirements.

How the Process Works

For example, these processes connect profiles or components to create continuous seals, closed sections and finished assemblies. The joining method depends on the component geometry, elastomer, application and required finished form.

Harltex uses joining as part of its wider extrusion and component manufacturing capability, supporting continuous profiles, large seals and bespoke assemblies.

This capability covers a range of elastomers used within Harltex extrusion applications, including:

  • FKM
  • EPDM

  • Natural Rubber

  • NBR

  • HNBR

  • AEM

  • ECO

Manufacturing Capability

Manufacturing Experience

Manufacturing experience covers joined rubber profiles, seals and assemblies for industrial and engineering applications.

Bespoke Manufacturing

Joined components can be manufactured to customer drawings, samples and application requirements.

Manufacturing Processes

This process works alongside rubber extrusion, moulding and other in-house manufacturing processes to support finished component production.

Quality Management

Harltex operates an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, supporting controlled manufacture and inspection throughout production.

Applications

Seals and Gaskets

Joined seals and gaskets used in machinery, equipment, vehicles and associated systems.

Protective Linings and Covers

In addition, joined profiles and assemblies can be used for protective covers and component protection applications.

Custom Assemblies

Similarly, bespoke assemblies can be produced by joining multiple profiles or components to suit the finished component design.
